Internships

Hands-on experience to grow skills and professional network

  • Internships are designed for the on-campus (in-person) track.
  • Participants already working in the field may have their job recognized as internship, subject to Academic Board approval.
  • We are connected to the Politecnico di Milano Career Service for matching and formal activation.

Activation follows Politecnico di Milano and host organization procedures.

How it works

  1. Learning goals & scope: set with the Academic Tutor (e.g., urban regeneration, valuation, stakeholder engagement, sustainability).
  2. Matching: suitable hosts suggested; spontaneous applications to partner entities are welcome.
  3. Activation: formalities according to University procedures and host requirements.
  4. Internship period: part-time/full-time activities with periodic reviews with the Tutor.
  5. Outputs & assessment: short report/deliverable and final acknowledgement.

Recognition of current employment

If you already work in areas aligned with the Master (public bodies, firms, utilities, NGOs), you may request recognition of your employment as internship, by showing alignment with learning goals and submitting a short activity report. Requests are subject to Academic Board approval.

Network of organizations

Beyond the contacts listed on Companies & Public Bodies, we collaborate with many public and private organizations where internships or projects have been hosted. If your organization is not yet onboarded, we can evaluate activation.
